Description

Denim jorts with hand-stamped Ceplok Diamond batik panels.

The motif

Ceplok is a family of batik motifs built from repeating geometric shapes, such as circles, stars and diamonds, arranged in a grid. Our Ceplok Diamond represents prosperity and harmony.

How it's made

Each batik panel is stamped by hand with a copper cap (batik cap) by artisans in Indonesia, then dyed and boiled to reveal the pattern. The jorts themselves are made by our partner factory, where the batik is sewn on. Because the batik is handmade, no two panels are exactly alike.

Fit

Loose fit. Eujave is 183 cm and wears waist 32. Anielka is 155 cm and wears waist 28.

Avoid hot water to prevent fading.

3. Mild detergent only
Do not use bleach, softener, or strong detergent.

4. Wash inside out

to protect the print.

5. Air dry
Hang to dry in shade.
Avoid tumble drying and direct sunlight.

6. Iron with care
Iron inside out on low heat if needed.

7. Natural variations
Each piece is hand-stamped.
Slight variations are part of the craft.

For Denim

1. Wash less
Wear 3–5 times before washing.
Frequent washing causes fading and loss of shape.

2. Wash inside out
Turn inside out, zip up, and fasten buttons before washing.

3. Cold wash only
Use water below 30°C to prevent shrinkage and colour fading.

4. No bleach / softener
These damage the fabric and fade the dye.

5. Gentle wash recommended
Hand wash if possible.
If using machine, use gentle cycle and laundry bag.

6. Air dry
Do not tumble dry.
Avoid direct sunlight to prevent hardening and fading.

7. Iron with care
Iron inside out on low heat if needed.
Use cloth between iron and fabric.

8. Remove odour naturally
Hang in a ventilated area overnight.

Design

Heritage Bay’s design philosophy centres on making heritage craft relevant to contemporary life.

By working with traditional techniques such as hand-stamped batik, we develop modern silhouettes and understated colour palettes that allow the fabric to be worn casually and across different generations.

Each design balances cultural authenticity with simplicity, ensuring the pieces feel timeless
